Gibson Tuck

This is a tutorial for a sweet and elegant Gibson Tuck.

Lets begin

Step one ~ Tie your hair in a low pony tail.

Step two ~ Pull the hair tie along with the pony tail up to the center of the head.

Step three ~ Part a gap above the hair tie.

Step four ~ Pull over your pony tail and tuck it in to the little gap you made before.

Make sure you get all of it in there.

And now you have a lovely Gibson Tuck, the only thing left is the hair clip.

Beautiful! <><

  1. I love the Gibson Tuck (and also your “Elegant Curly Gibson Tuck” tutorial). Do you think it is easier to do this if one has shorter hair, say about the length yours is in this tutorial? My own hair is terribly uncooperative and somewhat longer.

    • Hi There! Thank you for trying out my Gibson Tuck tutorial!! This hairstyle may take some time to master, practice makes perfect with this one šŸ˜‰ The only advice I can give is for step two you may need to play around with the positioning of the height of where you pull your pony, whether higher (better for long hair) or lower (for short hair). I hope this helps!! Samantha šŸ™‚

  2. Thank you so much for your tutorials! I love olden day styles, and I have really long hair. I couldn’t find any easy , or comfortable way to put my long hair up in fancy dos, but now I can. Thank you so much!

  3. I am growing my hair long again and had no idea what to do with it since I am so uncreative with hair. But now that I found your blog I have so many new styles to try! Thank you for your clear tutorials!

  4. Thanks so much for showing us how to do the lovely hairstyles! I have four daughters and we cannot wait to practice these hairstyles!! So excited!! Blessings to you!!
